...for my back attack. It's totally hallucenogenic. I was up at 6:11 a.m. On Saturday. You KNOW this is some fucked up medicine if I was awake at 6:11 a.m. ANY day.
And of course, God met me at the beach again today.
I should know by now to not fear the oscillations, but this week was very rough, and was pushing the envelope just a little bit.
So, to make up for it, today this seal swims up to me and says,
"May the Love of the Creator shine forth through your interactions with others,
at any time that you choose the Creator's Love to express."
LOVE TO ALL, JUDGMENT FOR NONE

Re: So I started a "shock" dose of prednisone for a week...
Sat, September 20, 2008 - 11:40 PMhuh? is this about a dog or cat or a human???
m cat got a shot of slow acting methyl prednisone, the whole idea creeps me out frankly...but the vet, who;s oler than I (graduated from vet school the eyar I graduated from high school) and VERY experienced said that the thinning fur that had me so worried looked lke gardenvariety (literally) flea allergy and keep up with the Advantage and we;d probably have to treat again next year but Muffin should start lookin better in a week.
and hell if he isnt already looking better.
I was worried 'cuz I had a cat who eventually died of a mysterios autoimmune disorder that started withhir loss.
but the doc says that when you hear hoofbeats, think horses instead of zebras.
I got really sick from an ACTH shot (the precursior to cortisol) one in college years ago that I;ve pretty much sqorn off taking corticosteoids since...wish I knew a good holistic rememdy for my kitty.
but he does seem to be loooking bettr since...
I have a weird relationship o most of Western biomedicine. -

Fri, September 26, 2008 - 5:41 PMI thank the Creator for granting you the blessing and mercy of a kind word from the Seal. Prednisone is powerful stuff - can be a lifesaver for those who need it, but the unpleasant effects can be even more powerful than the benefits.
And thank you for sharing with us.
